Blake + Caroline Proposal and Engagement // Asheville, N.C.

Once upon a time my best friend, Caroline, went off to Lutheridge to be a camp counselor and over the course of the summer, she found the man of her dreams, Blake! During their dating life, Caroline was a part of Young Adults in Global Mission and served in England for a year, Blake was finishing up college at the University of South Carolina, and the two made it through long distance. They both moved to Charlotte and Caroline got to live in an even cooler place than England - she got to live with me (and my sweet pup, Gracie)! Ha! I had always seen their relationship from afar but living with Caroline, I got to see how truly special it was. When Blake asked me to photograph the proposal, I was so excited! He had planned to propose at the camp where they met, so he and I snuck around camp while other friends and counselors figured out a way to bring Caroline up to the gazebo. Lucky for her, she was more than prepared for the proposal as she was dressed as Tweedledum! I could see the tears start to well up in her eyes as soon as she saw him standing at the gazebo. He got down on one knee and the rest is history!

We even went back up to camp a few months later to take some engagement pictures around the place where they had fallen in love! They tied the knot last month in a beautiful wedding (also at camp) and I was so lucky to stand beside Caroline and Blake as they said, “I do.” I can’t wait for the many years of love and laughter to come!
